Getting started in automation is a pain, even after you can read the basic diagrams. Now you have to learn how to implement the code. There are loads of excellent classes that talk about specific programming languages, but very few that will give you reviews while you go. Enter the next (free) course: AUTO 102 on Udemy.

To give you a programming and review experience, this class covers....

  1. Creating a project

  2. Selecting hardware

  3. Matching the P&ID to the input/output cards

  4. Creating basic logic

  5. Reviewing your code

This is the same cycle I would expect in most professional environments. Hopefully it will help!
